Carmichael Parks Foundation is the philanthropic partner of the Carmichael Recreation and Park District, dedicated to strengthening public spaces and expanding access to recreation for all.

We mobilize community investment to enhance park infrastructure, support innovative recreational opportunities, and provide scholarships that ensure every child and family can participate,  regardless of financial circumstance.

Through partnerships with residents, businesses, and community leaders, the Foundation helps preserve the character of Carmichael while building a vibrant future. 🌳 OUR HISTORY

Carmichael Parks Foundation was established in 2009 following a community-led effort to support enhancements within the local park system.

In 2008, the Carmichael Recreation and Park District formed the “Friends of Carmichael Aquatic Center” to explore future improvements to recreational facilities within the district. As community engagement grew, it became clear there was a broader opportunity to support park improvements and recreational access across all district sites.

Recognizing this expanded vision, the organization evolved into the Carmichael Parks Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit public charity dedicated to supporting the entire park system.

Since its founding, the Foundation has helped fund park enhancements, support community programming, and provide scholarships to local youth, ensuring Carmichael’s parks continue to serve as welcoming spaces for connection, recreation, and growth.
