Rosie Buck

Position: 2026 President, Board Member 2025-2026

Rosie Buck is a community leader, entrepreneur, and dedicated advocate for the vitality of Carmichael’s parks and public spaces. As the owner of Buck Family Automotive in the heart of Carmichael, Rosie has built a business rooted in service:  not only to customers, but to the community she calls home.

Rosie currently serves as President of the Carmichael Chamber of Commerce and Board Chair of the Carmichael Improvement District Board of Directors. She is a board member of the Carmichael Parks Foundation and an active volunteer with the Carmichael Recreation and Park District. Her leadership also extends to the Kiwanis Club of Carmichael, Carmichael Elks #2103, and the San Juan Unified School District CTE Automotive Advisory Committee. If there is an initiative that strengthens Carmichael, Rosie is often at the table helping move it forward.

Her connection to Carmichael’s parks is deeply personal. When Rosie first moved to the community, the parks were where she found a sense of home. She spent mornings walking Patriots Park and Del Campo Park with her young child in a stroller and afternoons sitting along the benches at Jensen Botanical Garden, watching him play with toy cars beneath the tall, sheltering trees. In those early days, the parks offered comfort, belonging, and connection,  shaping her belief that public spaces are essential to community life.

Under Rosie’s leadership, Buck Family Automotive became the first top annual sponsor of the Carmichael Recreation and Park District, contributing $10,000 in support of community events and programs in 2024, and a renewed commitment in 2025, and 2026. Her philanthropic efforts reflect her commitment to ensuring every family can experience the same sense of welcome and opportunity that Carmichael’s parks provided to hers.

Rosie is passionate about preserving and enhancing the spaces that bring neighbors together, support youth development, and define Carmichael’s character. Whether through strategic leadership, partnership building, or hands-on volunteering, she is dedicated to creating a lasting legacy for generations to come which culminated her to being  recognized as Sacramento Business Journal's 40 under 40 in 2024 and California Woman of the Year in 2025 by the California State Assembly.

Outside of her civic roles, Rosie enjoys hiking, photography, painting, beach trips, bike rides, attending musicals, and exploring museums;  experiences that continue to inspire her creativity and community-centered vision.
